My cover with AA By Lisa Love
I have been a member of the AA breakdown service since 1997 and have nothing but absolute praise for them. The service they have provided me and offered has been top standard. When I first joined with them it was roughly around £130 per year, which sounds alot but dividing this cost over the months it and the what we got for it was well worth it.
I have comprehensive cover from them which not only covers my vehicle, but also covers me in person, so say I am in a family member or friends car and and we broke down they would come, collect all of us and tow the vehicle to a named place. luckily I’ve not broke down in anyone’s car but my own ! Which has been a few times over the years.
I have had different problems with different vehicles, one experience was in my old Mazda 323 and in my hometown Billingham, Cleveland I was travelling to town, which is just local but I was going up the ramp to the multi-storey car park and something just went snap under my foot. So I dug out my card (always best to keep it in the vehicle) and called them, they have a great time scale, and prmomise to be there within 1 hour, and if they don’t they give you £10 for waiting!
Turns out my clutch cable had snapped, and it was fixed on site while as I waited, no need to tow it and no need to go into a garage. The guy didn’t take long- quite the expert and I was pleased to be driving away within 45 mins. On two other occasions
Another times I was travelling home fromwork and crossing the Penines and broke down. I called the AA and again they were there on scene under the promised hour and both times have managed to fix the car on the road side without any further assistance or need for towing. Over the years I have dropped my cover slightly, I now pay a little over £70 a year for just as good of a cover I had before, only I had a large 4×4, which was just over ten years old, and something in my plan only covered cars under ten years, so I to this day still have a decent cover, and I am sure that they’re reliable, definately worth the money, and I know I will stay a member with them as long as I can drive - safely with the knowledge no matter what car I am in, no matter where in the country I am. I have peace of mind if I ever have any trouble they’re only a call away, and less than an hour or £10 !!! Great service, thumbs up AA !!
